MINUTE FOR THE FIRST MEETING HELT AT KOSIROI MINNING SITE FOR THE FORMATION OF TAPAC MINNERS ASSOCIATION.AGENDA.

MIN. 1 1O/2016

The interim chairperson Sarah Akello led the prayer by herself. She asked God’s guidance for members to positively contribute to the successful deliberation of the association.

MIN. 2  10/2016

The acting chairperson Sarah Akello introduced members to the group members the need to form the umbrella group. That the group to be formed soon would sphere head the committee at large to tap the available loyalties that are within the Sub County.

That being the first umbrella group of its kind they have a huge task to perform as rolemodel for other upcoming groups. Members must take the matter seriously because we can become the center of focus from various Organizations seeking to help support and work with the local community.

The sub county though is lead actor the CDO (community development officer) by names LORU MOSE KING welcomed and appreciate the overwhelmed turn up of the members present. He also commented on the tireless work of some interim executives like the chairperson and some opinion learders on their role in sensitizing the community on their rights in the mining sector.

He later stressed on the issue of royalties which he said that 7% is allocated to the sub county and should be used properly. He further pointed that the money can be used for latrine constructions at Lomerinyang and Nakala, Buying benches for the school children in TAPAC and lastly to procure two motorcycles for carrying out activities.

The assistant CDO by names LOTEE ZACKARY tasked members to show a sense maturity in the election process. He further stressed that the groups at least represent the six parishes evenly for a fair and balanced idea generation.

The interim chairperson further said that as a group is to be formalized, they should come up with a sounding and respectful name. thus they came up with the name, ‘TASKMAK’ (TAPAC SOGDEK MINERS’ ASSOCIATION Kosiroi.

The sub county officials, ECO representative and the interim then informed the present populace that it was now due time to select our committed members to spearhead and lead the association. Below are the members who were selected to represented the umbrella group.

The acting chairperson thanked the members for their active participation and said that, it has been all-round and fruitful exercise as we had chosen our leaders and the group’s name peacefully.

The sub county lead actor, CDO further said that the scheduled meeting in two month times and should focus on electing the group’s senior i.e Right the chairperson and vice, secretary Treasurer and publicity.

Finally, ANGELLA MARTHA from ECO handed the one hundred fifty thousand shillings (150,000/=) to the CDO. She said that the money was for the group’s registration.

By 02:15pm one member by the names ILUKOL REBECCA adjourned the meeting by thanking every member for the active participation towards the attended meeting and wished all the members safe journey back home.
