The interim chairperson of the group, AKELLO SARAH tasked one of the members to volunteer in leading as in prayers. One IRIAMA JOSEPH volunteered to pray and asked God’s guidance and positive participation from members so as to come up with appositive deliberations.

The sub county chairperson welcomed all the members who turned up through and others did not make it due to one reason or the other. He urged members that this was the right time for the members to elect some one with sound mind and who can reason wisely to uplift group.
He also further stressed that this was the time to elect members to the executive posts of the association to act link linkages between the local companies and companies that were undertaking the mining and exploration of the activities within the sub county and to know the miners’ right’s in the mining sector.
Finally, he ended up stressing the on the point of royalties. He further explained that, this would be the right time for the executives to know where the 3% of the royalties end it either been explained by the CDO in the first meeting held in October.

The sub county chief and the community development officers in abstention were represented by the parish chief of Nakwanaga by the names Mr. LODIM JAMES. He also explained that, this was the right time for the people of TAPAC to come up with a renewed group led by vibrant members to voice out people’s concern as in the long run, exploited and looted of their own resources.
He still sighted the examples of royalties, out lining that since Tororo Cement started exploration and mining in 2002 up to date. They have seen 3% money through the community on several occasions has confronted to say the truth but still the letter says that they have been paying.

The interim chairperson thanked all the members who had turned up for the election of the executive members. She pointed out that this was the time for the members to come up with a formalized association so has to end playing a hide and seek games with mining investors especially Tororo cement. Before to proceed in 2014 September, ECO provided them with the excavator and banging tools to 34 groups in the entire sub county. She later presented the name of those who are going to participate in the elections as follows both from the parish of Nakwanaga and village of Loyaraboth.

The interim chairperson the requested for the member’s attention so that the election of the executive group members can be conducted
The election was conducted by raising of the hands in support of the candidate of matter’s choice. For the post of chairperson, members nominated three persons namely; AKELLO SARAH, LOMITA ELIA and IRIAMA JOSEPH. The later was simple ruled by the majority as the chairperson and that was Iriama joseph and Akello Sarah voted as the vice chairperson.
Dodoth Sisto was voted as secretary while Loumo Alice as Treasurer and llukol Teresa as publicity.
Natem Hellen suggested that leaders not held responsible shall be replaced if they don’t demonstrate a satisfactory levelof commitment. Members anonymously agreed.
That a member who does not attend a group meeting on three consecutive occasions without satisfactory reason shall be asked to submit a document a pology or else suitable replace sought.

LOKONG AGNES adjourned the meeting by asking God to be by their executive members always in times of high decision making during high profile meeting and negotiations with mostly the investors for the good of our people and sub county at large and also wished every member a safe journey back to their respective homes.
